Junior Backend Developer — Python

We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join our onsite team in Karachi. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who want to build their career in backend development, APIs, databases, and scalable web applications using Python, FastAPI, and Django.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining backend APIs and web services
- Work with Python frameworks such as FastAPI and Django
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable backend code
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar
- Create and optimize SQL queries
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services
- Help debug, test, and improve backend application performance
- Work with the engineering team on real-world software projects
Must Have
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Must be available for a full-time onsite role in Karachi
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker, Git and GitHub
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Basic understanding of Celery, Redis, or background jobs
- Familiarity with ORM concepts such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy
- Any academic, internship, or personal project related to backend development
